Do you know what the flowers you choose say about you and the person you are giving them to? Floriography, or the Language of Flowers is a means of communication through the use of flowers and bouquets. Meaning has been attributed to flowers for thousands of years, in traditional cultures throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. During the Victoria era, many guidebooks were published to help those involved in delicate courtship rituals parse their exchange of posies. While most of the nuances have fallen out of favour, we still choose red roses to symbolize passion, yellow roses for friendship and poppies for remembrance.

"The Lanugage of Flowers" 1000 piece puzzle was designed in-house by Allegra using public domain assets. That is hundreds of vintage botanical flower paintings were raided for their best blooms and assembled into this epic bouquet. To balance the old world topic and paintings, contemporary leet-speak was used on the banners labelling the flowers, thus what was originally described as “looking for true friendship” becomes “Let’s be besties!” - shorter and more fun.
