• Participation in this exciting competition as teams race to finish their puzzle first!
• Take home the puzzle your team completes (one per team)

• BONUS: There will be special “Some Assembly Required” Puzzle Deals on Select Images for Cash and Carry available at the Puzzle Challenge only!

Chose your challenge from four options:

1. Ravensburger 1000 piece puzzle (up to 4 team members, $30+HST per team)
2. Ravensburger standard 500 piece puzzle (2 team members, $25+HST per team)
3. Cobble Hill 1000 piece puzzle (up to 4 team members, $30+HST per team)
4. Cobble Hill Family pieces puzzles (1 Adult and up to 2 Children, $25+HST per team)

Prizes:

• The WINNER in each 500 piece and 1000 piece challenge category will receive a voucher for one free 1000 piece puzzle in their chosen brand for each team member
• The RUNNER UP in each 500 piece and 1000 piece challenge category will receive a voucher for one free 500 piece puzzle in their chosen brand for each team member
• The TOP THREE teams in the Family Pieces challenge category will receive a voucher for one free Cobble Hill Family Pieces puzzle for their team

Rules, Tips and More!

• Practice with your team! The images which you will compete with are a secret but you can practice on a variety of images to get your puzzling strategy pieced together.
• Plan to arrive 30 minutes early to register and get yourself settled.
• Brighten Up will provide the puzzle, tables and chairs, but anything else you want for your puzzling and comfort you must supply.
• You may use any puzzle sorting methods you would like but you MUST remain contained to your allocated table space (no putting extra sorters on the floor, chairs, etc.

AN IMMERSIVE TRADING CARD GAME

Wield magic inks and the power of Lorcana to assemble your team of Disney characters. Some characters will be familiar friends. Others will be fantastically reimagined.

A SWIRL OF COLORFUL STARLIGHT APPEARS, growing brighter and brighter until it is all you can see. When the burst of light subsides, you find yourself in a wondrous new place. Welcome to the Great Illuminary, the center of a magical realm called Lorcana.

The Illuminary summoned you here because of your powerful imagination. You follow a pulsing line of light through curving hallways and numerous rooms to emerge into a vast atrium. A mechanism there towers over an open book. Sparkling down from above is a stream of colorful story stars, each containing fragments of Disney stories. 

Nearby, a unique tool catches your eye. It’s an inkcaster, and when you pick it up, it feels both exciting and familiar. Instinctively, you hold it high above the open book. Magical ink pulsing with energy flows through the mechanism and combines with the light from a story star on a page of the lorebook in front of you, creating an image of a Disney character. With the power of your inkcaster, the image rises off the page. This is a glimmer, a new version of the character that only exists in this world. As an Illumineer, you can create glimmers of characters and items to add to the lore of Lorcana—a treasure that must be preserved and protected at all costs. 

Soon, other Illumineers across the globe will be called to the aid of Lorcana. You’ll summon glimmers to quest with you as you search for missing lore in a race against time. Only together can you protect this wondrous realm from threats.

THE INKS & THEIR ATTRIBUTES

Illumineers use six magical inks to summon glimmers of Disney characters.

Some will appear as familiar friends while others will appear in fantastic new forms.

Each type of magical ink gives the glimmers different qualities. Usually this means expressing or exaggerating qualities already present in the original character, but it can also mean "theming" the characters with new roles and skills.

No ink is innately good or evil, and both heroes and villains can be found in all six inks.

BEGIN YOUR ADVENTURE: STARTER DECKS
To play Disney Lorcana, each player will need a deck of sixty cards. Ready-to-play starter decks contain a preconstructed deck with a specific card list. If you’re new to trading card games, or if you want to experience the game with a deck designed and tested by Team Lorcana, this is a good place to start. Each starter deck includes:

• 1 starter deck of 60 cards, including 2 foil cards of the characters on the package front
• 11 game tokens
• 1 rulebook
• 1 booster pack containing 12 randomized cards

EXPAND YOUR COLLECTION: BOOSTER PACKS
Unlike starter decks, booster packs contain twelve random cards from Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter. Use booster packs to build and customize your deck with abilities and characters beyond those found in starter decks. Each booster contains twelve randomized cards:

• 6 common cards
• 3 uncommon cards
• 2 rare, super rare, or legendary cards
• 1 foil card (random rarity level)

JUMP IN: GIFT SET
The gift set includes two collectible oversized foil cards and two playable foil game cards in addition to game tokens and four boosters. The gift set for Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter will feature Mulan – Imperial Soldier and Hades – King of Olympus. Gift sets include:

THE ULTIMATE CHOICE: ILLUMINEER'S TROVE
The ultimate treasure for both collectors and players, the Illumineer’s Trove includes a full-art storage box, two deck boxes, eight booster packs, a player’s guide, and more. The player’s guide offers a look into the world of Lorcana as well as a complete visual guide to all cards in Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter. Also included are deckbuilding tips and game strategies. The Illumineer's Trove includes:

• 1 storage box
• 2 deck boxes
• 8 booster packs
• 15 game tokens
• 1 player's guide

ACCESSORIES
Protect your collection from wear and tear with card sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, and card portfolios.

• Card Sleeves: Each pack contains 65 matte-finish card sleeves featuring a Disney Lorcana glimmer. The first characters featured will be Captain Hook, Elsa, and Mickey Mouse.
• Deck Boxes: Each deck box can hold up to 80 sleeved cards. The first Disney Lorcana deck boxes will feature the same Captain Hook, Elsa, and Mickey Mouse art as the card sleeves.
• Playmats: Each playmat features striking artwork of Disney characters. A fabric top prevents damage during gameplay and can also be used as a desk mat or mouse pad, while the anti-slip bottom keeps the mat in place during use.
